Christian education opportunities abound at FRC.  It is our desire to teach Biblically accurate materials in an age appropriate manner so that students will understand their need for Christ and a desire to grow spiritually.  Our effort to keep class size small helps to provide positive student – teacher relationships at every age level.

Children in Worship

Children in Worship gives children age 3-5 the opportunity to experience worship at their age level in a special place just for them during the sermon portion of morning worship.  Their schedule includes quiet time while a Bible story is presented with attractive visual aids, free time to interact with peers, opportunity to work on creative projects, or listen to stories read by adult helpers.  The worship time is closed with prayer time in which the children are encouraged to participate.  Visitors are always welcome.

Katelyn's Fund Orphan Ministry

The Katelyn's Fund Orphan Ministry seeks to offer financial, emotional, and prayer support to Christian families who feel God is calling them to adopt. The long term impact of this ministry is not only to save lives in the literal sense but also eternally, calling Christian families to consider adopting or to support those who are adopting.

See the Katelyn's Fund Orphan Ministry website for more information.

Kidzone

Kidzone is a FUN and safe place to come after school for kids in the community ranging from TK through sixth grade.  It is a place that kids and volunteers alike can come to have fun, share in new opportunities and experiences, but most importantly build relationships and friendships with one another and between generations.

The only requirements for the child to attend is that a Child Information Form be completed and on file with the YFLC Director, and that the child display behavior that is respectful and appropriate to others and the facility.  The hours are every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the 2nd & 4th Mondays during the school year.  Activities include snacks, free time, games, baking, open gym, homework and tutoring, service projects, as well as group activities or special speakers.

Volunteers are always welcome at Kidzone.  Three to four volunteers work along side the Kidzone Director helping with activities, snacks, homework, and supervision.  It is a great opportunity for many different reasons.
First, it allows parents or grandparents to volunteer and spend time with their

children and their friends in a fun and nurturing environment.
Second, it allows high school and college students to gain experience working

with kids and doing ministry if they plan to pursue an education or career in

        a related field.
Third, it allows other adults to share their gifts and talents with the kids in

order to make a difference in the life of a child.  It allows EVERYONE who

volunteers to build relationships, serve children not only from our church

but from the community, and to model God's love to all who enter the doors.

Inspiration Hills

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is held each summer at Inspiration Hills.  There are day camps for children entering grades 1-4.  These camps are like the resident camps except that children go home each evening to sleep.  There are wilderness camps for children entering grades 4-6 and students in grades 7-9 can be guides during the wilderness camp.  There are also lodge camps for children in grades 3-9.  Our church pays 50% of the cost for camp for all members and for children unable to attend camp because of their financial situation.
