Pastor Tanner Smith joined our staff in July 2008.  Pastor Tanner is a graduate of Hope College and Western Theological Seminary.  He was involved in youth ministries for three years before attending seminary.  His responsibilities include church administration and all areas of the Logos (Senior High Youth Program) program.

Pastor Rog joined the Ministry Team of First Reformed Church in January of 2001. He leads Sunday worship, does member visitation, and crisis counseling.  A native of Wisconsin, he graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City in 1969 and from Western Theological Seminary in 1972.  He has served in five churches in Wisconsin and Iowa.

As Director of Christian Education, Roger Kempers works to enhance all levels of Christian Education and provide oversight to the Christian Education Council.   He was previously a public school teacher and school board member, bringing this expertise to our Ministry Team in June of 2000.

As Director of the Family Life Ministries, Mindy oversees many family oriented activities in the Youth/Family Life Center including the Kidzone after school program for children and organizes volunteers to assist her in the Youth/Family Life Center.  Before joining our Ministry Team in February of 2005, Mindy was a social worker at Hope Haven.

As Director of Calling Ministries, Ardith regularly visits elderly and hospitalized members of First Reformed Church.  She was an elementary teacher for 32 years before joining the Ministry Team in August of 2006.

As Coordinator of Middle School Ministries, Deb's responsibilities include the Sent (Junior High) program.  Deb joined our Ministry Team in July 2010 and is currently attending Western Theological Seminary through their distance-learning program

Lisa De Smit, Promotions Coordinator, is responsible for the preparation and layout of the weekly newsletter and all other promotional materials for First Reformed Church.  Before joining the Ministry Team in June of 2000, Lisa was a Travel Consultant at the Travel Advantage in Sioux Center.

Margie is the Administrative Assistant.  Margie previously was the Church Care Coordinator and Kidzone Assistant for three years before moving to the Administrative Assistant position in January 2012.  Margie grew up in our church before getting married and moving to the East Coast.  She returned to Sioux Center in 2002 and joined our staff in May 2008.

Lois assists with Kidzone. Before joining the staff in March of 2007, Lois was a preschool teacher and teacher in the public school for 30 years.

As a Cleaning Assistant, Erma performs the day-to-day cleaning of our church. She has been a member of First Reformed Church since 1989, and took the position of Cleaning Assistant in September of 2003.

Jeff Timmer is a part-time bookkeeper for First Reformed.

Bill and Connie Van Berkum are part-time Sound System Coordinators.
